Activities of the Institute

Main research areas:

  • nonlinear, nonstationary and stochastic processes in nuclear physics and electrophysics;
  • interaction of particles and nucleus with matter;
  • development of radiation technologies on the basis of electrophysical sources (e.g. e-beams, ion beams, UV-, IR-sources);
  • treatment of metals and alloys with application of superplasticity effects;
  • safety systems of potentially dangerous objects, agroecological monitoring;
  • application of physical and biological phenomena for development of evolutionary computer technologies for complex systems modelling;

In all these areas institute has research groups.

Institute focuses on investigations and implementation of:

  • IR thermography (active thermography defect detection, pulsed thermography, fractal analysis in thermography). Infrared thermographic monitoring of NPP facilities;->>
  • technologies of radiation sterilization of medical goods and food stuffs by the electron beams and X-rays; seed treatment using UV sources etc;->>
  • development and manufacturing of the ultraviolet radiators for disinfection of water, air, packing materials and capacities for medical and food industries;->>
  • investigation of mechanisms of formation and deformation of metal materials with the superplasticity phenomenon, directed on creation of new wasteless technologies;->>
  • evolutionary algorythms for solving complex problems of modern theoretical physics;->>
  • creation of intelligent controllers for power industry.->>
  • development of energy- and resource conserving industrial and agricultural technologies;
